Palmetto Pipes & Drums will always have a special place in my heart. I joined
the band in August 1999 and played with PP&D for several years. It was my first
band. Palmetto Pipes & Drums is also significant in my personal life in that
this is where I met my wife Grace. Grace joined PP&D about three weeks
after I did. At the time the band was practicing at Heathwood Hall Episcopal
School in Columbia, South Carolina. Palmetto Pipes & Drums under the
leadership of P/M Billy DuBose evolved over the years from a non-competing band to a successful Grade 4 band. Thanks to all the past and present members
for all the memories, especially P/M Billy DuBose, P/S Steve Cotsford,
Richard Hodgkiss, Matt Davis, Neil Anderson, Tom Garman, Gary Hipp,
Danny Skinner, and Bill Lejeune!
